CWIB Presidents Report for January 2017

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As your 2015-2017 President for the “Connecting Women in Business” I have to tell you it has been very exciting for me and those that are on our board!

We held our Annual Kick off in October.  We had a great turnout of current members and guests.  Of the guests in attendance, 6 became new members and still growing with an additional 6 more.  We are so excited about new members and want to welcome them!  The energy and enthusiasm that new blood brings to the group is great to see; it helps us keep operating at an optimal level and keep things fresh and new!  Our membership is now at 32 with wonderful, independent, strong women in many different businesses!

Part of the vision of this group is to invite NEW women from all age groups and from different business backgrounds from our area to become a part of this group.   The more diverse the group, the better able we are able to continue supporting one another and help to grow referral business while still keeping a community minded focus on reaching out to those in need.   Besides making many new friends and having a great time too!

Our November Basket raffle has been a tradition for over 36 years and the out pouring of gifts and the money raised from those gifts was so much appreciated. We were able to help out 8 families in need in the community with food, gas and gift cards to help lighten the load!

NOW that is what it is ALL ABOUT! Giving back to those in NEED!

With 2017 here, CWIB’s goals will be to continue to build and strengthen business relationships, referral opportunities, and provide speakers that specialize in areas directly targeted to helping our members grow personally and professionally.

We are always looking for the opportunity of members and new members to get involved on the board or one of our committee’s that make CWIB function from month to month.

The first quarter for CWIB we have speakers discussing your Mind Set and goals for 2017, assisting  other’s in brainstorming ideas, offering suggestions or solutions, supporting and challenging each other ending with how to take  your data base and turn  into  a referral business!

May 2017 bring you great Happiness, Health and Success !
